The official trailer for The Kissing Booth 2 on Netflix
People think Jacob Elordi looks miserable in The Kissing Booth 2 trailer in which he reunites with his ex Joey King on screen.
The Kissing Booth 2 trailer is finally here but Jacob Elordi fans think it proves theories that he hated being part of the movie.
Ever since Netflix confirmed that they would be filming a sequel to The Kissing Booth, people have wondered whether or not Jacob Elordi actually wanted to star in it. Not only has Jacob split from his co-star Joey King, since the original movie came out, but he's also criticised his character Noah and been noticeably absent from all promo for The Kissing Booth 2 so far.

The trailer gives us our first glimpse of Jacob back as Noah and fans are already making memes about how sad he looks.
In the trailer, we see Noah and Elle (Joey King) try out long-distance dating after Noah starts uni at Harvard and Elle finishes her final year of school. It all seems to be going well at first, however, their relationship gets put to the test as new potential love interests appear in both of their lives. Are Noah and Elle really meant to be or do they have to let each other go?
While that answer remains unclear, viewers seem convinced that Jacob doesn't look very happy in the trailer for the movie. One fan tweeted: "jacob elordi looks miserable af in the trailer of the new kissing booth movie. i mean he’s in a movie he basically don’t wanna be in while having to make-out with his ex-girlfriend".
People also started making memes about how much Jacob prefers Euphoria to The Kissing Booth. Not only that but they also began posting screenshots in which Jacob allegedly liked tweets dissing The Kissing Booth back when he had an active Twitter account.

While Jacob hasn't publicly discussed the sequel, he did criticise the first film in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter about Euphoria. He said: "It’s almost like righting my wrongs a little bit too, because the character in The Kissing Booth is awful and it’s never really explained. He’s kind of idolised and made into a hero, so I suppose Euphoria is showing why."
In other words, it seems likely that Jacob wasn't too keen to play Noah again. Meanwhile, Joey recently admitted on the Mood with Lauren Elizabeth podcast that reuniting with Jacob for the film was a "wild experience" but "totally worth it".
