Tate McRae has been keen to shut down false accusations that she is an industry plant. Not only did Tate start out as an independent artist but she's also been hard at work, gradually building her fanbase since 2017. Speaking to Variety in 2023, Tate said: "I’ve been grinding since 13 years old! I’m probably the furthest thing from an industry plant for how long I’ve been doing this." [RCA Records]
