RULES
1. The following rules (“Specific Rules”) together with the general competition terms and conditions (which can be found at http://www.capitalfm.com/terms-conditions/competition/ (the “Competition Terms and Conditions”) of Global (as defined in the Competition Terms and Conditions) apply to the University of Salford radio competition (the “Competition") which will run from Monday 1st October 2018 to Thursday 4th October 2018 on Capital Manchester
2. Anyone who enters the Competition (an “Entrant”) will be deemed to have read and accepted the Specific Rules and Competition Terms and Conditions and will be bound by them.
Details of the Competition:
3. To enter the Competition an Entrant must send a text message with the word “UNI” to 83958 (the “Text Message Line”). Text messages will be charged at standard network rates. The opening and closing times of the Text Message Line will be given out on air.
4. All Entrants selected to play on air will be required to talk to the presenter(s) and the conversation may be recorded and played on-air. If the caller fails to answer a return call from Global, is driving at the time of the call and is unable to pull over, cannot continue the call for any reason or the phone line is not of a suitable quality for broadcast (at the discretion of the producer) the call may be terminated and another Entrant selected at random.
5. Each day, Lines will open for listeners to text in for a chance to play and two listeners will be chosen at random and brought to air. Two callers will battle it out for the prize that day. The 2 callers will play a word association game, the caller who gives the last acceptable word wins the prize associated to that day.
6. There will be two games with two winners on Thursday 4th October.

The First person to hesitate or not provide a valid answer is out. (who has the final word if the word is acceptable?)
Eligibility:
6. Entrants must be age 18 or over.
7. Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Competition.
Prize:
8. Each day of play one winner will one of the following prizes -
9. Day one prize: Amazon Alexa 2nd generation, playstation 4 games console, 40” Samsung 4k Ulta HD TV, BEATS wireless headphones. All items will be sent to the winners address and will arrive separately.
10. Day two prize: 2 x official platinum tickets to see Shawn Mendes at Manchester Arena on Sunday 7th April 2019. £250 gift card for a Manchester city centre restaurant for 2 people. £250 cash that will be sent as a cheque to the winners within 28 days of winning. The gift card will expire 12 months from date of issue and tickets will be sent to the winners address
11. Day three prize: £1,000 gift card and personal shopper for Selfridges at Manchester Exchange Square. Personal shopping experience & timings will be arranged with the winner and Global. The gift card will expire 12 months after the date of issue and will be sent to the winners address or will be collected in store. The gift card is for Selfridges only and can be used at any eligible stores.
12. Day four prize: iPhone XS, 64GB. iPhone is subject to availability and delivery date will be discussed with the winner.
13. Day five prize: £1,000 will be sent as a cheque from Global to the winners address within 28 days of winning.
14. Global reserves the right to substitute the prize with another prize at its absolute discretion.
