Woman Dies After Crash In Bolton

A woman has died following a crash in Bolton.

Police were called to Gilnow Road shortly after 2100 GMT on Saturday where a Ford Focus and an Iveco van had been in a collision.

The 23 year old who was a passenger in the car was taken to hospital with a serious head injury but died later. A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information should call the Road Policing Unit on 0161 856 7201.
