Manchester Rated Second Best City To Study

Students rate Manchester one of the best places to study in the UK.

Manchester was named joint second along with nine other cities that were rated across five criteria: going out, shops, transport, community and facilities.

The survey, carried out by asked students to review 62 university towns and cities across the UK.

46,000 student reviews gave Manchester a rating of 62%.

Newcastle topped the poll with 64%.

Joining Manchester were Sheffield, Glasgow, Liverpool, Edinburgh, Exeter, Brighton, Leamington Spa, Dundee and Aberdeen.

But there was bad news for Greater Manchester as Salford was rated the worst in the UK scoring just 48%
