Manchester Man Jailed Over Child Sex Abuse

A Manchester man's been jailed for 13 years for sexually abusing three children he was babysitting.

62-year-old Raymond Frost was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of rape and six counts of sexual assault.

He's also been ordered to sign the sex offenders register indefinitely.

Between 2006 and 2008 Frost sexually assaulted two girls, aged eight and 11, and a 10-year-old boyafter he babysat them a number of times for a neighbour in Northern Moor

Frost sexually abused them and forced them to perform sexual acts, often in front of each other.

The children reported their ordeal to police in July 2010 and Frost was arrested in September 2010.

Detective Constable Yanica Weir from the West Didsbury Child Abuse Investigation Team said: "Frost abused the trust placed with him by sexually abusing his young victim's.He took advantage of his position and the vulnerability of the children.


"All three showed a lot of courage reporting the incident but also helping police put togethera case to prosecute and sentence him."
