More than 40 firefighters were called to a blaze in Manchester's Northern Quarter overnight.

Crews were called to a derelict building on Tariff Street just before 2 o'clock this morning.

Roads have been closed for most of the morning and will remain that way until crews have finished dampening down.

Investigators will head to the scene later to establish how the fire started.
