Manchester Day Parade

This Sunday it's the spectacular free Manchester Day Parade.

Now in it's 4th year over 2,400 people get involved from 90 community and social groups across Manchester, all aiming to wow an audience of more than 50,000 residents and visitors who line the streets as the Parade weaves its way through the city centre.

The theme this year is 'Wish you were here' which is a celebration of our city and the people who live here. Local artists and volunteers have been working overtime to make a procession full of colour.

It starts at 2pm until 4pm and the route will take in Deansgate and Albert Square.

Capital will be there supporting the event.
