A man's in a serious condition in hospital after being stabbed in Gorton.
It happened just after 1:20pm on Thursday 8th September, police were called to Hyde Road following reports of a stabbing.
Officers found that a 27-year-old man had been stabbed on Garrott Way.
The man suffered two puncture wounds. His condition has been described as serious.
The offender is described as being a man of mixed race and in his late teens to early 20's. He was wearing a black or grey duffle coat with a hood and was riding a black bike.
Detective Inspector Terry Crompton said:
'This appears to be a very serious incident which could have had fatal consequences.
'It happened in broad daylight and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to call us.
'We are sure there are potential witnesses we haven't spoken to, particularly those at bus stops on Garratt Way.'
