In October 2011, police got a call to say a woman had been stabbed off Brownedge Road, close to the roundabout near the A6 at Bamber Bridge.
The 42-year-old woman had been stabbed five times and suffered serious injuries to her stomach and neck as well as a punctured lung. She also had a number of defence wounds to her arms.
