Man Charged Over Boy's Blast Death

A man’s been charged over the death of a toddler in a suspected gas explosion in Oldham

Two year old Jamie Heaton was killed in the blast back in June. He was watching TV at his home on Buckley Street. It is believed the explosion was triggered in the house next door.

27 year old Andrew Partington, has been charged with manslaughter and causing criminal damage of more than a million pounds.

He suffered serious burns in the incident and was recently brought out of a coma.

A 32 year old man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter remains on police bail as investigations continue.

Paying tribute to Jamie, his parents Kenny and Michelle described him as a “happy little boy, mischievous and full of laughter”.
