Police have charged a man with murder after a body was found dumped in a wheelie bin in Wigan.
24 year old James Anthony Jepson, is accused of murdering 26 year old Steven Rourke, who was discovered on open land off Bickershaw Lane in Wigan on Sunday.
Greater Manchester Police said a post-mortem examination indicated that Mr Rourke had been strangled.
Jepson, also know as Kelly, of Bickershaw Lane, is due to appear before Wigan Magistrates' Court today.
Two other men, aged 19 and 21, arrested on suspicion of murder have been released on bail pending further inquiries until June 27, police said.
In a statement yesterday, Mr Rourke's family said: "Steven was a lovely young man who was always happy to help others. He was well-known in the Bickershaw area, where he was well liked as Steven never saw any bad in anyone."
