Police are reassuring residents in Moss Side after a gun was fired at a house.
It happened on Cadogan Street just before 6:30pm yesterday.
Detectives have recovered a bullet casing from the scene after a shot was fired at the front door. They reckon a handgun was used.
Nobody was injured.
Chief Superintendent Russ Jackson said:
'Inevitably this incident could cause some concern among the community. However I want to offer some reassurance straight away.
'There is no information at all coming in to suggest this is gang related.
'In fact it seems to be a disagreement over a personal matter between two men.
'We are actively seeking the suspect and have already executed one house search looking for him.
'We are working with community leaders and have extra officers in the area to address any concerns residents may have.'
