A Preston woman's been sentenced to an indefinite hospital order after admitting killing her mum.
27-year-old Elizabeth Donnelly from Ashton pleaded guilty to manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
62-year-old Valerie Donnelly was found stabbed to death by police earlier this year.
Elizabeth Donnelly was immediately sectioned under the Mental Health Act and following tests and treatment, she was re-arrested and charged with murder.
Elizabeth has been placed indefinitely in a high security unit and cannot be released without the permission of the Home Secretary.
