A man from Bolton who raped a 15 year-old boy after picking him up in his taxi has been jailed for 10 years.
35 year-old Shahbaz Ahmed, of Bertrand Road, approached the teenager in the early hours of 13th July.
He asked the boy if he'd ordered a taxi, before telling him it was too dangerous to be walkign the streets alone.
He drove him to Harwood golf club and attacked him.
Detective Constable Mark Tiffany, from Greater Manchester Police said: "The victim is a young, vulnerable teenager, and Ahmed manipulated him into getting into his car before driving him to an isolated location where he raped him.
"The trauma of what happened will stay with the victim for a long time and it is a credit to him that he gave evidence that was vital in securing Ahmed’s conviction."
