2012 Olympic high-tech centre opens
Nearly 10-thousand computers are being tested for 200-thousand hours from today - which will be the nerve centre for the Olympic Games
The Technology Lab is a mini version of all 34 Olympic venues.
The centre will process tens-of-thousands of computers commands, from dealing with system failures to publishing the correct scores for all events.
Every possible scenario is being dreamt up to ensure the action can be delivered to people's front rooms within 0.3 seconds.
The scale of the task spans from the portal to recruit 70,000 volunteers to the systems needed to issue 200,000 accreditations which allow entry to the venues and also act as a visa for athletes, media, sponsors and officials to enter the UK.
