Ugh, it looks like the dreaded high-cut swimwear and bodysuit trend isn't going away anytime soon. Yep, thanks to shows like Love Island, swimsuits are getting smaller (some aren't even made for getting in water anymore…). In fact, legs are just getting higher and higher too.
PrettyLittleThing is selling a bikini that can't actually be worn in water
Case in point, Topshop's latest swimsuit creation that is practically slashed up to the model's armpits. Topshop can't take all the blame, though, the one-piece was actually created by Jaded London and is sold on ASOS and Urban Outfitters too. Sure, we've seen the likes of Boohoo and Fashion Nova jump on the trend but this take is even more risqué.
The £40 cossie features an on-trend chain print mixed with zebra splashes and oranges. The bandeau-style swimsuit sits comfortably across the chest but the, um, crotch area defies all logic.
The one-piece features gaping cut out sections that means your pelvis would be practically hanging out – not to mention everything else…
A thin belt holds it all together and presumably stops the wearer from flashing everyone by the pool. Although, we probably wouldn't give the family a wave over by the sun loungers in this number, you know just in case you get banned from the hotel. And imagine the tan lines? Lets not even go there.
Hi @Topshop - you appear to be selling a triangle for £40, and I have some questions:

1) Where do my flaps go, pls?
2) How is this flattering?
3) Why???
In conclusion, I feel personally attacked by this swimsuit. pic.twitter.com/OPoz5zwUPT
Laughing my actual head off at the thought of turning up to swim training in this. https://t.co/LK3M9aUeXz

Jesus what is happening there? What is not happening? That person had actual corners? I can’t unsee that!

This is the most awful swimsuit that I ever seen in my life. Probably designed by a man @Topshop #horrendous pic.twitter.com/pBKCo83qR6

‘OMG OMG OMG I forgot my swimming costume!’ ‘Don’t panic - I’ve got a bit of picnic tablecloth leftover from last year. Trust me. No-one will ever notice the difference.’

The first thing I thought when I saw this? Avoid all water park flumes https://t.co/6gLG1GuerA
