Here's everything you need to know about Instagram's period challenge.
The internet is always creating new challenges and after the popular WAP dance challenge on TikTok saw multiple people sustain injuries, and even end up in hospital, the internet is now bringing us something much easier (and safer) to do – the period challenge.
Before you ask, no, it's nothing to do with menstruation. So, here's the viral craze explained.

Basically, the period challenge involves people using their bodies to spell the word "period" using their curves to make the "p". Simple. All you need to do is take a photo of your side profile to form the letter "p" and then edit in the rest of the word.
In case you didn't know, Urban Dictionary defines period (sometimes spelt periodt) as: "When you finish a sentence and you know you were damn right. Old generation would say 'and that's final'."
Sadly, not all of us are blessed with the booty to be able to make the "p", but thankfully you can still join in. People are using some, um, other body parts to make the missing letters…
