The fans have voted so join Capital as we countdown your top ten picks to join the judging panel of the 2012 series of The X Factor following the departure of Kelly Rowland.
At number ten is the newly declared most beautiful woman in the world... Beyonce! The 'Love On Top' singer has been in the music business for the better part of fifteen years, both with Destiny's Child and as a hugely successful solo artist in her own right, so Bey certainly has the experience required for the role. The 'Countdown' star became a mother at the start of this year and has yet to announce details of a new album so there's always a chance Beyonce would take one of the coveted judging panel seats during her time off.
Up next at number nine is 'The A Team' singer... Ed Sheeran. The 21 year-old singer may have only rose to fame within the last twelve months but Ed has been recording and releasing his own independent EPs since for the past seven years. The 'Lego House' star received widespread acclaim for his 2011 debut '+', picking up two Brit Awards and a MOBO nomination in the process, and his huge popularity would definitely keep the audience tuning in every week were he to sign up as the newest The X Factor judge.
Coming in at number eight on out countdown of potential new judges on The X Factor is Leigh Francis' irrepressible character Keith Lemon. Having enjoyed huge success as the host of ITV's Celebrity Juice panel show, maybe Keith would be the right choice to bring a bit of humour to the 2012 series of The X Factor.
At seven on our top ten is the man of the moment Justin Bieber. The 'Never Say Never' star is enjoying huge popularity at present thanks to hype about his upcoming third album 'Believe' and the worldwide success of his latest single 'Boyfriend'. At the age of 18 Justin is the youngest contender on our countdown but with four years of chart success under his belt already there's no denying Justin could bring a huge amount of star power to the popular ITV1 show.
Landing on our countdown at number six is a multi-talented songwriter, producer and singer... it's Labrinth! After several years behind the scenes producing for huge artists like Tinie Tempah and Devlin, Labrinth emerged onto the chart scene in 2010 with his single 'Let The Sun Shine' and is now a successful artist in his own right following the release of debut album 'Electronic Earth' in March. Labrinth's massive UK chart success coupled with the fact that Simon Cowell's obviously a fan, having signed him to his Syco record label, could make the 23 year-old the perfect choice to sit on The X Factor panel alongside Gary, Louis and Tulisa this summer.
Rocking in halfway through our countdown of potential new judges on The X Factor is the Barbz Queen herself... Nicki Minaj. Since signing up with Lil Wayne's Cash Money label back in 2009 Nicki has released two chart-topping albums in 'Pink Friday' and 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' and become one of the most recognisable faces across both pop and rap. Nicki signing on as the newest member of the show's judging panel would bring both star power and interesting fashion choices every Saturday night.
At number four on our countdown is a star who's very familiar with The X Factor...it's Cheryl Cole! The 'Call My Name' singer served as a judge on the ITV1 show for three years between 2008 and 2011, winning the heart of the nation in the process, and fans seem to be calling out for a return from Britain's favourite Geordie.
Next up at number three is Katy Perry! The 'Part Of Me' singer is no stranger to music talent shows, having served as a guest judge on both The X Factor and American Idol back in 2010. Katy is currently taking some time out to pen songs for the follow-up to her massively successful 2010 album 'Teenage Dream', so perhaps Simon Cowell could tempt her out of the recording studio with a seat on the UK show's judging panel?
Coming in just short of the top spot at number two is 'Price Tag' singer Jessie J! The 24 year-old singer has had a whirlwind twelve months following the release of her 2011 debut album 'Who You Are' and six successful singles to boot, and she notably helped out current panelist Tulisa during the judges' houses part of last year's series. However, Jessie is currently serving as a vocal coach on rival panel show The Voice UK so it doesn't look likely the 'Domino' star will jump ship to The X Factor any time soon.
The fans have spoken and the top voted star to take a seat on The X Factor judging panel this year is... Rihanna! The 'We Found Love' singer has been racking up chart hits for the past seven years and already has six albums under her belt. RiRi is also no stranger to The X Factor, having assisted L.A. Reid at judges' houses on the US edition of the series, and has performed on the UK show several times in the past, most notably alongside the 2010 winner of The X Factor Matt Cardle. With the 'Talk That Talk' singer openly admitting she will be focusing on projects outside of music for much of 2012, perhaps everyone's favourite Bajan singer signing on to The X Factor isn't too far out of the realms of possibility?
