The Capital Late Show With Marvin Humes 10pm - 1am
Turns out this was the year pop stars decided not to hold anything back and went hell for leather with one another. Join Capital as we look at some of the biggest feuds of the year.
Well, few arguments gathered more attention in the press then the war of words between these two. It all stemmed from Miley saying she was taking influence from Sinead's 'Nothing Compares 2 U' video with her own 'Wrecking Ball' promo. Sinead then wrote the first of three open letters warnign Miley that the industry didn't care about her and that she should be careful. It didn't stop there though, as Miley then made reference to troubled actress Amanda Bynes and was deemed to make comments about mental health - which caused upset with many.
It all started on Twitter when the Maroon 5 man appeared to accuse Mother Monster of "recycling old art" and that she was mereley an art teacher rather than an artist. She hit back with a remark about the "art police" before Adam hit her where it hurts - her grammar! What will happen next?
It all got heated on Twitter in July when the rapper called the British star's husband and children "ugly!" Lily fought back with a blow of her own accusing Azealia of being nothing more than "a one hit wonder".
The 80s singer took offense to the attitude of the One Direction man at the BRIT Awards back in February when he said the 'Little Things' star wouldn't pose for a picture with his Niece. Liam told the Culture Club man to "stop telling porkies" and even took a pop at his head-wear in his response.
It flew under the radar slightly until James came out with an expletive comment about boybands on his Twitter feed. When some One Direction fans grew upset it was revealed that James and Louis had echanged a series of text messages together causing a rift. It all started weeks before when the X Factor champion spoke about the marketing machine behind the boyband - something Louis took offence to. He even went on to say he had no problem with the group but simply with one member.
This was an example of being careful not to spread gossip as Geordie Shore star Holly felt the brunt of Rita's fury after the red-haired female accused the 'R.I.P' singer of having an affair with Jay-Z.
Back in November, the New Zealand rising talent was quoted as making comments about Selena's song 'Come And Get It' being anti-feminist and sending a bad message to her fans. Selena gave an interview in Flaunt magazine where she completely disagreed and said she would no longer be covering Lorde's song 'Royals' in any of her future sets.
News of the girls' break-up in March came as a huge blow to millions - including Nadine who wasted no time in telling fans that the separation wasn't her idea. The Northern Irish singer said she wanted the group to continue, hinting at tensions between the group.
"Music for grannies" was the expression used by the former Oasis man to describe the Scottish star. The opinionated musician said he didn't see why Emeli deserved to be called a star. The 'Next To Me' singer simply responded with a picture of an elderly lady displaying her middle finger.
Although the '21' singer has yet to comment on the comedienne's weight remarks, that hasn't stopped Joan continuing her insults at the British singer. The 79 year-old was greeted with a barrage of boos when she mocked the star on the David Letterman show.
Justin's collaboration with Jay-Z on 'Suit & Tie' may have won many fans, but Kanye wasn't one of them. The rapper hit out at the track during a headline show in London. The 'SexyBack' star appeared to then respond during a performance of the song on Saturday Night Live - changing the lyrics to say Kanye was acting "dramatic". Justin has since appeared to downplay any feud and said there is no issue between the pair.
The rapper was not happy with comments from the Made In Chelsea star about his fiance Millie Mackintosh during an interview. Spencer called Millie a "show pony" and criticised her involvement on the reality show. This saw Pro Green defend his lady on Twitter with a foul-mouthed tirade at the TV star and prompted Spencer to sarcastically respond: "Does that mean I'm not invited to the wedding?"
The indie kid got upset during an interview with Shortlist when he was asked his opinion on the boy band being compared to the likes of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. The 'Lightning Bolt' man was accused of wanting to "appear more indie" by Louis and Niall. He then tried to take a more diplomatic approach when he admitted it was upsetting to see someone he is a fan of slagging off the group.
Gaga's fans were initially singled out as the cause of blame for this feud when Kelly revealed she'd been abused online by the Little Monsters. The 'Bad Romance' star penned an open letter asking her to take responsibility for her comments during a hosting stint on E! and expressed her disappointment she didn't come to Gaga directly to address the matter. Sharon Osbourne also weighed in on the dispute and escalated the matter further. "I am calling you a bully because you have 32 million followers hanging on your every word and you are criticizing Kelly in your open letter," she said.
What started as a joke during the Golden Globes soon turned nasty as Tina told the country singer to stay away from Michael J Fox's son. Taylor addressed the comments during an interview with Vanity Fair and said: "There's a special place in hell for women who don't help other women." The '22' star was upset that her love life was constantly being ridiculed, and Tina eventually responded and said there was no hurtful intentions and the jibe was meant merely as a light-hearted remark.
The pop star hopeful was not happy when he was voted off the latest edition of the music reality show. He criticised Nicki's judging style and said she only wanted a female to win the show. The 'Starships' rapper soon took to Twitter to respond and told him to blame the voting public and said he should be gracious in defeat.
The Grammys was the destination of this war of words when the band's drummer said the ceremony was for music and not money when asked about Justin's snub. "The black keys drummer should be slapped around haha," was the response of the teen whose army of Beliebers got behind him. The feud continued as Patrick pretended to be Justin for a weekend.
