Top Pop Star Spats Of All Time
The ongoing beef between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim started back in 2007, when Nicki was accused of copying Lil' Kim's debut album artwork on her mixtapes. The feud continued when each star gave wildly different reports of their first meeting. While Nicki claimed the pair agreed they were "good" and posed smiling for a picture together, Lil' Kim seemed to suggest the encounter didn’t go so well: "What? Are you kidding me? Picture somebody saying to me, 'We good?' I'll ring her throat, snatch her larynx out." Since then the pair have continued to make pointed and unflattering comments about one another through their lyrics and in interviews (Lil' Kim telling one journalist that she'd happily collaborate with Nicki Minaj – for a minimum of $7million, adding that she had no intention of "taking [her] foot off [Nicki's] neck"). In the artwork for Lil' Kim's 'Black Friday' mixtape, the star is seen piercing a bloody pink wig with a samurai sword. More recently the pair have moved release dates to clash with the other's, in what fans have described as a deliberate move to anger the other.
