It's been an INCREDIBLE year for Mr Sheeran with the launch of his second studio album 'X' which features chart-topping single 'Sing' plus latest smash 'Thinking Out Loud'. Over the past 12 months the award-winning star has dominated charts worldwide, walked about with a whole bunch of awards, plus performed some huge live shows including is own UK tour plus appearances at our Summertime and Jingle Bell Balls. Miss Swift certainly shook it off in true style when she made her chart comeback in the second half of 2014. The singer went fully pop with her new album '1989' which features current Vodafone Big Top 40 hit 'Blank Space' and the infectious classic 'Shake it Off', both of which the seven time Grammy winner performed live during her headline set at the Capital Jingle Bell Ball with Morrisons. Shake, shake, shake!
It was one of the toughest categories to win out of them all but the 1D boys' fans didn't disappoint as they celebrated yet another AMAZING year in pop. This chart-topping five-piece have been touring worldwide through most of 2014 but the international superstars found time to complete yet another HUGE album 'FOUR' which has gone on the become one the biggest-selling released of 2014. #Impressive
*SCREAMS* Ashton, Callum, Michael and Luke stormed onto the UK music scene earlier this year when their debut single 'She Looks So Perfect' shot straight to the top of the Vodafone Big Top 40 chart. The boys have since gone on to perform at both the Summertime and Jingle Bell Balls, walked away with numerous awards along with dominating charts worldwide with follow up singles 'Don't Stop', 'Amnesia' and 'Good Girls'. Well done boys, you're Capital's Breaker for 2014!

Our favourite pop four-piece bagged themselves the No.1 spot across the globe with their infectious pop debut 'She Looks So Perfect' back in March and the song is still doing the business as it fights off incredibly tough competition from the likes of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J to bag the title of 'Best Single 2014'.
