We count down the albums you can't afford to miss out on over the coming months, with new offerings on the horizon from Nicki Minaj, Labrinth, Cheryl Cole and Tinie Tempah.
The R&B star is gearing up to launch his fifth album in March fresh from the massive success of his 2011 record 'F.A.M.E.'. Chris has already been whetting fan's appetite with the release of lead single 'Turn Up The Music' and the track's unexpected remix featuring Rihanna, and the promise of collaborations with the likes of will.i.am, Wiz Khalifa and Nas makes 'Fortune' one of the must have records of 2012. Release date: 16th March.
Cover Drive made a big impression when they arrived on the scene in 2011 with debut single 'Lick Ya Down'. After reaching number two on the Vodafone Big Top 40 in January this year the four-piece are set to release their debut album 'Bajan Style' later this year. Singer Amanda has promised fans a "good sunshiny album" that will make them "feel like you are at a beach party in Barbados". Cheryl has been notably coy about teased any details from her untitled third studio album, and fans still have no idea when the record will be officially released and what its title will be. Still rumours have persistently linked the 'Fight For This Love' singer with all manner of collaborators on the upcoming record, including Rihanna, Usher and Taio Cruz. Cheryl recently announced she has already finished work on the follow-up to 2010's 'Messy Little Raindrops' and is expected to announce the record's first single before summer. Release date: TBC 2012.
While Katy has yet to confirm any details about a full follow-up to her 2011 sophomore release 'Teenage Dream', the 'Last Friday Night' singer is set to release several new tracks on a brand new special edition re-release. 'Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection' is due out in March and will feature three brand new tracks including Katy's current single 'Part Of Me'. The expanded album will also feature several remix tracks as well as an acoustic recording of her hit single 'The One That Got Away'. The re-release should tide Katy's legion of fans over while she heads back into the recording studio. Release date: 27th March.
After ruling the festive airwaves in 2011 with his Christmas-themed album 'Under The Mistletoe', Justin is getting ready to return to the pop scene with his third full-length offering 'Believe'. The Canadian singer has tasked producers like Darkchild and Timbaland to help him create some sure-fire hits, and with confirmed collaborations with the likes of Kanye West, Drake and Lil Wayne, things are certainly looking up for all of his Beliebers out there. Justin recently promised fans the first single from 'Believe' will drop in March. Release date: Q1/Q2 2012.
Madonna returned to the charts with a vengeance at the start of February when she dropped her brand new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin', which featured both M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj. The track serves as the lead release from Madonna' 12th album 'MDNA', and will be followed by the equally hyped 'Girl Gone Wild'. Fans of the 'Music' singer will be itching to get their hands on 'MDNA' ready for the start of Madonna's 90-date world tour which kicks off in May. Release date: 26th March.
N-Dubz star Tulisa Contostavlos will capitalise on her huge boost in popularity from winning The X Factor with her act Little Mix in 2011 by kicking off her solo career with her first album. After taking fellow N-Dubz star Fazer to help produce her first solo outing Tulisa has spent the past month in the US recording for the record. The 'I Need You' singer recently revealed she has almost finished work on the album and is now picking out the track she will release as her first single. Release date: Q1/Q2 2012.
From one N-Dubz star to another as Dappy fans have been waiting for the rapper's first solo outing ever since he topped the Vodafone Big Top 40 with 'No Regrets' back in September 2011. Dappy then surprised everyone when he announced that Queen guitarist Brian May would feature on his second single 'Rockstar' after admitting he was a fan of the N-Dubz rapper. Dappy's fans won't have to wait much longer as he has promised the album 'No Regrets' is on the way very soon. Release Date: April/May 2012
Black Eyed Peas fans can rest easy in the knowledge that, despite the band's current hiatus, they won't have long to wait before will.i.am's fourth solo outing drops. The 'Check It Out' rapper dropped lead single 'T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)' at the start of 2011, which features vocals from Jennifer Lopez and Mick Jagger. Will.i.am is due to follow this up with second official single 'Great Times' and has promised fans that new album '#willpower' will boast collaborations with a huge range of artists including Britney Spears, Swizz Beatz, Justin Bieber, Alicia Keys and Cheryl Cole. Release date: 16th March (US) / 29th April (UK)
Despite disappointing her Barbz with a pushed-back release date, Nicki Minaj is finally ready to drop her sophomore album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded' in April. The 'Super Bass' rapper has been very busy over the past few months with promotional singles 'Roman In Moscow', 'Stupid Hoe' and 'Roman Reloaded' as well as featuring on David Guetta's worldwide smash 'Turn Me On'. But it's lead album single 'Starships' that really has fans clamouring for the pink-haired rapper's new record through. Release date: 3rd April.
Tinie is currently putting the finishing touches to his new album 'Demonstration', which he unveiled the title of during an interview with Capital FM at the BRIT Awards in February. The follow-up to 2010's 'Disc-Overy' features a magnitude of guest collaborations, although the rapper, who has previously worked with the likes of Eric Turner and Labrinth, has remained tight-lipped about the identities of his new co-stars. Release date: Summer 2012.
After a long wait (lead single 'Let The Sun Shine' dropped back in September 2010) Labrinth is ready to put out his first album as a solo artist. After producing for Tinie Tempah and Wretch 32, Labrinth will launch 'Electronic Earth' in April following the huge success of his Big Top 40 hit 'Earthquake'. The album will boast a highly anticipated collaboration with BRITs Critics Choice winner Emeli Sande, as well as Labrinth's newest single 'Last Time'. Release date: 2nd April
After touring across the UK on their 'All Fired Up' arena tour, The Saturdays wasted no time in heading back into the studio and have been recording throughout the start of 2012. Frankie, Rochelle, Vanessa, Mollie and expectant mother Una have already filmed the music video for the album's lead single, although the five girls have kept hush as to the record's title or musical direction. Release date: 2012
