Capital's been told that four of the biggest movie studios in the world, Warner Brothers, Sony, Disney and Lionsgate, are planning to make film's about Nottingham's Robin Hood.
None of the movies will actually be filmed in Sherwood Forest, where Robin is supposed to have spent a lot of his time, because the nature and animals have to be protected there.
Big Movie Bucks
Nottinghamshire County Council reckon the county and region could do well from the films because tourism and the economy has benefited from movies rooted or made in the area before.
Gareth Broome, Countryside Team Manager, at Nottinghamshire County Council told Capital:
'Robin Hood is a global icon and it is wonderful news to learn that there is much activity being planned around new films about Robin Hood.
'Films on the big screen can only further help boost the international appeal of our Nottinghamshire hero.'
