A woman's died after being hit by a car at a bus stop in Leicester.
A driver's been arrested after it happened in Woodgate, at around 11.10pm on Saturday 29 September.
A blue Mercedes CLK hit the bus stop and knocked over the victim, who was taken to Nottingham's Queen's Medical Centre, where she died.
Leicestershire Police think the Mercedes was in collision with an orange Nissan GTR near Abbey Gate, and was leaving the scene of this collision before hitting the women.
A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing dangerous driving and being unfit to drive through drink or drugs after a police chase.
Officers want to speak to anyone who saw the blue Mercedes in the moments before the collision.
Detective Constable Alison Briance from the force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "We are working very hard to piece together what happened that lead to this woman losing her life.
"I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area of Woodgate at around 11pm last night and who saw a Mercedes car being driven around.
"Even if you think the bit of information you have is insignificant – I want you to call us. Let me decide if it helps the investigation; what might seem small to you, may help our investigation into the collision.
"The road was closed for a number of hours over night to allow forensic investigations to be carried out and I’d like to thank everyone for their cooperation."
