Two Arrested After Man Dies From Head Injuries In Leicester

Two men have been arrested after a man's died from serious head injuries in Leicester.

Police say they were called at around 7pm by the ambulance service to a report of a man with serious head injuries in Glenbarr Avenue, Leicester.

The 38-year-old man was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary, where he subsequently died

Two men, aged 40 and 60, have been arrested and are being questioned by officers.

The scene has been cordoned off so forensic teams can examine it.

Detective Chief Inspector 1488 Simon Shuttleworth is leading the investigation, he said: “At this stage we are carrying out enquiries into the circumstances surrounding the incident and the death.

“A post mortem examination is due to take place later today and officers are in the process of carrying out house to house enquiries locally.

“We would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any incidents in Glenbarr Avenue or the surrounding area including Woodgate, Blackbird Road and Bradgate Street yesterday evening.

“If you have any information about the circumstances surrounding the death, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch as you may be able to help with our enquiries.”
