Police Hunt Notts Sex Attacker

Detectives investigating whether three separate incidents in Bramcote are linked.

Police are looking for a sex attacker who assaulted a teenage girl and exposed himself to a 21-year-old in a field in Nottinghamshire.

They both happened in Bramcote at the side of the A52 last month and the man was completely naked - detectives think both incidents could be linked to a sexual assault on a bus.

The woman, who was on her way to the gym at Bramcote Leisure Centre at the time, said: "He got very close to me and was just a few metres away. I was disgusted and absolutely terrified about what he would do. I told him to go away and I ran to the leisure centre. I told staff what had happened and they called the police."

Description:

The man is white, with very short brown hair, of slim build and around 5ft 10ins tall.

Earlier incident:

A woman was sexually assaulted on the number 4 bus between Nottingham city centre and Bramcote Leisure Centre at around 4.10pm on Thursday 5 January. On this occasion, the attacker was wearing a black hooded jumper, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Police investigation:

DI Rob Severn, from the force's Public Protection Unit, said: "We believe the same man has struck in the same place at least twice.

He has been completely naked on both occasions and has approached lone females in an isolated field and in the most recent incident he has gone on to carry out a serious sexual assault on his victim.

We have been carrying out extensive enquiries since these attacks came to light and now we are appealing to members of the public who may hold the key to the identity of the attacker.

The circumstances of these attacks are very unusual and I am confidant someone must have seen something."
