Police are hunting four men who attacked a man at his home in Mansfield yesterday (Wednesday 3 March).
The incident happened at around 1.40pm at an address in Victoria Street.
It is believed the men entered the house and assaulted a 34-year-old man inside.
He suffered a knife wound to the face, which was not life-threatening. He received hospital treatment and has since been discharged.
The attackers, who are white, fled the scene in a burgundy car, heading towards Moor Street.
Police conducted a forensic investigation at the scene yesterday and have been carrying out house-to-house enquiries in the area.
