A man's been jailed for an attack which killed a man on night out in Leicester.
26-year-old Clarke Allred was punched twice in the face after an argument in Market Square in June. He died from head injuries at the QMC 4 days later.
34-year-old Sanchez Zampaladus from Leciester's got four years in jail after admitting manslaughter.
Zampaladus was arrested shortly after the incident and was originally charged with inflicting grievous bodily harm, after Clarke’s death that charge was changed to manslaughter.
Detective Chief Inspector Jonny Starbuck was the senior investigating officer during the investigation, he said: "Zampaladus" actions that tragic night led to the death of a young man and devastated a family, thankfully they have been spared the ordeal of going through a lengthy trial.
“This has been a deeply distressing incident for Clarke’s family, they have shown immense courage throughout the investigation and subsequent legal proceedings, we hope that the conclusion of those proceedings today (Thursday 26 November) will help them to move on with their lives.”
