A fourth man's been charged after a double stabbing in Leicester
A fourth man has been charged after a serious assault in Bateman Road on Sunday 2 August.
Malik James, 21, of Marriott Road, Leicester has been charged with attempted murder and violent disorder.
Jamel Tobias Smith, 21, of West Street, Leicester was charged on Thursday with two counts of attempted murder and appeared at Leicester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 14 August where he was remanded into custody.
A 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of violent disorder has been released on police bail pending further enquiries in connection with the incident.
Two other men, aged 23 and 18, who were previously arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
Winston Lamontagne, 20, of no fixed address, has been charged with attempted murder and violent disorder and appeared at court last week where he was remanded into custody.
Michael Burns, 24, of no fixed address, has been charged with violent disorder and appeared before Leicester Magistrates’ Court earlier this week where he was remanded into custody.
It follows an incident in Bateman Road where two men were injured in a fight. The men, aged 18 and 19, suffered stab wounds.
