Did you try and stop a woman being attacked in Leicester?
Detectives in Leicester are trying to find a group of lads who tried to stop a woman being attacked by two men in a park.
The men first assaulted the woman along Roseberry Street, they then put her in a car and drove her to Spinney Hill Park, where they attacked her again.
It was at this point that the lads, who were near the basketball courts, intervened.
It's thought the two attacks happened over an hour between 7.30pm and 8.30pm on Wednesday night.
The victim has been treated for head and facial injuries at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.
Detective Constable Kate Pitt is investigating the incident, she said:
'We are particularly keen to trace a group of youths who were in Spinney Hill Park the time of the assault, they were close to the ball courts and challenged the suspects. If you were in that group we would urge you to come forward, any calls received will be treated in confidence.
'The victim has been left extremely shocked and distressed by the incident and we are still looking into the possibility that the victim may have been known to the offenders. If you can help in any way with the investigation please come forward.'
