Halloween On The Beat

More police were out in the East Midlands last night for Halloween and Capital was with them.

Our reporter went out on patrol with a team of officers in the Carlton area of Nottingham; PC Graham Willis told Capital it's one of their busiest nights of the year:

"It does build up, mainly because of the fireworks issue and the groups of kids going round trick or treating.

"Instead of the two or three of us normally on the beat team, you've got eight of us on the team tonight."

Listen to our reporter Sarah Poole out with Notts Police.

#tweetbeat

For the first time in Derbyshire police tweeted everything they were called out to, like a firecracker being thrown into a shop in Long Eaton and eggs being thrown at a car in Alvaston.

But despite taking hundreds of calls the force says there wasn't much anti-social behaviour.

Officers said the response they got was good, see part of the feed below.
