Derbyshire Alton Towers Victim 'Looking Forward To Going Home'

Daniel Thorpe who was one of the four seriously hurt in the Alton Towers rollercoaster crash has released a statement saying he is 'looking forward to going home'.

The statement has been released through the Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospital where he is being treated.

The hospital said: "Daniel Thorpe is currently recovering well from the injuries to his lower legs which he suffered following the incident at Alton Towers. His condition remains stable."
 
Daniel himself released the following: “I would like to thank everyone for their support which has been a great comfort to me at this time.
 
“In particular the emergency services, doctors, nurses and the rest of the team who have been looking after me and my family during this time have been fantastic.
 
“I’m now looking forward to getting better, getting home and getting back to normal.”
