Photos of a large amount of ‘stolen’ property have been released in a bid to reunite the items with their rightful owners. Police in Derby launched three-week Operation Skye in November to disrupt the stolen goods market in the city. In December, a warrant was executed at a house in Portland Street where a large amount of items were seized, including around 40 bicycles and nearly 200 electrical items. Pictures of some of the items, including bicycles, boxing gloves, CDs and watches, have now been published on the force website www.derbyshire.police.uk and officers are urging members of the public to get in touch if they recognise any of the property. A 26-year-old man and a 47-year-old man were arrested and charged with handling stolen property and are being held in prison custody. If you recognise any of the items, contact DC Scott McDermott on 101.
