2 year old girl critical after crash

Officers from Leicestershire Constabulary’s serious collision investigation unit are appealing for witnesses after a collision this morning (Wednesday March 9).

The collision occurred at about 8.39am this morning in Hillsborough Road, Eyres Monsell, Leicester and involved a pedestrian and a white double-decker bus.

The pedestrian, a two-year-old girl, was taken to the Leicester Royal Infirmary with serious injuries, her condition has been described as critical.  No one else was injured during the incident.

Detective Constable Patricia Draycott is investigating the incident, she said:  “The incident took place at a busy time of the day with many people travelling into work or school, we are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either the pedestrian or the bus beforehand to contact us.”
