CCTV images have been handed to Capital of a man with a distinctive ponytail that police want to talk to over an assault in Solihull.
Two men - both in their 40s - were punched and kicked to the head after being set upon whilst stood eating a takeaway after a night out in Station Road at around 1.30am on Saturday, 4 October.
The man police want to talk to is described as white, in his 20s, with shaved hair at the sides and a ponytail on top. He also has a sleeve tattoo on his right arm.
Detective Constable Tonino Rossi is investigating the assault and said: "We have spoken to several witnesses who were in the area at the time and our CCTV inquiries have uncovered the image of a man who we believe may be able to help us with our investigation.
"We are working hard to reduce assaults in our night time economy, with violence against the person in public places in Solihull falling by around 50% in the last five years.
"However, when offences do happen, we often need the public’s help to solve them and I would urge anyone who knows the identity of the man in images to call us."
Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101.
