Police have released CCTV images of a group a men who they want to speak to about an assault in Sutton Coldfield.
One arrest has already been made in connection with the offence, which happened on the High in the early hours on Saturday 26 July.
A 35-year-old man was with two friends in the Royal Hotel when they were approached by a group who smashed bottles over their heads. During the assault, the man fell to the floor and was stamped on, leaving him with a shoeprint mark on his face.
Detective Constable Mike Wright said: “As well as a stamp mark, he also suffered substantial bruising to his face, while his two friends also received cuts and bruises in the assault."
“There appears to have been an altercation between the two groups earlier on in the evening, and we’re keen to speak to the five men in these images.
A 23-year-old man was arrested soon after the assault on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
