Oldbury Man Charged Over Birmingham Stabbing

A teenager will appear in court tomorrow charged with murdering a 24-year-old in Birmingham.

Unemployed Abdullah Atiqzoy, 18, from Elizabeth Crescent, Oldbury, was charged on Monday over the death of Lukasz Furmanek on Sunday 31 May. 

Mr Furmanek suffered stab wounds during an altercation in Grove Lane, near Holly Road, Handsworth at around 3am. 

The teenager was first arrested on Saturday 6 June and appeared before Birmingham Magistrates Court on Tuesday, where he was remanded to appear before Birmingham Crown Court tomorrow (Thursday 11 June) charged with murder and the attempted murder of a 31-year-old man. 

Two other men - aged 18 and 19 - arrested on Friday are currently on bail until next month pending further enquiries.
