Factory Fire: 500 Tonnes of Paper Alight

More than 70 firefighters are dealing with huge blaze at a recylcing plant in Perry Barr
At 2:51am this morning West Midlands Fire Services was called to Premier Waste on the Walsall Road in Perry Barr following reports of a fire.
By 4:25am 15 fire engines and 75 firefighters were in attendance dealing with 500 tonnes of recycling paper and plastics. {Pictures: @WMFS}
The Fire service say they've made good progress.
Crews are using on site mechanical diggers to get the material out of the building to be able to turn over the waste and damp down to prevent further spread of the fire.
Residents near the factory on Walsall Road in Perry Barr have been advised to keep doors and windows shut -with drivers told to avoid the area if possible
Meanwhile a blaze at BRM Packaging Limited on Lower Walsall Street in Wolverhampton -which recently went into liquidation- is being treated as arson
Police are now investigating
