CCTV: Man Dies After Being Found In Moseley

Police have released CCTV footage of potential witnesses one week after Phillip Floyd lost his life on a Moseley road.

Mr Floyd was found lying in Forest Road with serious head injuries just before 10pm on Tuesday 28 January; he died in hospital a short time later. But the circumstances of how he came about his injuries remain a mystery.

Officers investigating Mr Floyd's death have trawled CCTV and have released footage that shows three people and two cars in Forest Road shortly before the 50-year-old was found.

Superintendent Alison Telford, from Stechford police station, said: "Although the moving footage is not the best quality you can clearly see three people in the street including one man who runs past a walker.

"Two cars are seen to drive along the road shortly before Mr Floyd was found and we are appealing to the people in the CCTV and the drivers and passengers of the cars to come forward.

"They could be vital witnesses who may hold crucial information that could help our investigations into how Mr Floyd died."

Local officers visited the area on the week anniversary of the incident in the hope that it would jog people's memories and spark new information to help trace any witnesses.

Between 9.30pm and 10.30pm last night (4 February) police handed out leaflets and stopped passing motorists and residents.

Supt Telford, added: "We continue to investigate how Mr Floyd sustained the fatal head injuries. If you were in the area of Forest Road on the evening of Tuesday 28 January we want to hear from you. You may think that your information or suspicions are insignificant, but I would say that this could be vital to our inquiry."
