A teeanger charged over a shooting at the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham on Boxing Day has been remanded in custody
The 19-year-old from the Newtown area of the city's accused of shooting a young man in the leg at about 2.18pm.
A spokeswoman said a 19-year-old man sustained a gunshot injury to his leg and was treated in hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening and he has since been released.
More than 25,000 visitors passed through the Bullring's doors before 12pm to take advantage of the Christmas discounts.
The teenager arrested in the early hours of Tuesday morning (11th) after officers executed a search warrant at his home - is due at Birmingham Crown Court on the 19th of January.
A 26 year old arrested at the scene has been bailed pending further enquiries.
