The fates of fellow judges like Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger are not yet known.
Louis Walsh has reportedly agreed to return to The X Factor UK for his tenth year on the show, while the fates of fellow 2012 panelists Tulisa Contostavlos, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger have yet to the announced.
The Irish manager is said to have accepted a £1 million pay packet to return to the ITV show's panel once again, after allegedly refusing to ask for a pay increase because of the country's current "economic troubles".
News of Louis' return comes fresh from claims Sharon Osbourne will return to the show five years after quitting, with rumours suggesting she is set to receive £1.8 million for her return.
"Louis is mindful of economic troubles, particularly in his native Ireland where the property market has crashed," a source told The Sun this week. "So he didn't think it was right to ask for a pay rise.
"A £1 million deal is plenty for anyone and he's just happy to have his place back on the panel," he explained.
