The Black Eyed Peas star dropped by unannounced to play the track for the first time.
Will.i.am gave his new song 'This Is Love' its world premiere on Capital FM this morning (14th May).
The Black Eyed Peas star called into Capital FM in London's Leicester Square unannounced to play the song, which features Eva Simons, for the first time in public.
The Voice UK mentor had been tweeting from outside the building before deciding to come in to try and get his new song played on air.
"I was just on my way to the airport, so I was like, 'We such stop by Capital FM', Will.i.am said.
"I remember when I first got into wanting to do music, we used to go to a radio station in Los Angeles trying to get on air. It just made me feel alive, like I was trying to do something. We did it, we went on air, we played the song.
Will.i.am told Dave Berry and Lisa Snowdon that he had been working on the song since New Year, but only finished it two days ago and also shot the video in London over the weekend. The track was also produced by Steve Angello
"I just finished this song a couple of days ago on my laptop because times have changed. Then we filmed the video two days ago here in London and we edited it on laptops," he added.
Will.i.am is currently appearing on The Voice UK as one of the four mentors and at the weekend sent Tyler James and Jaz Ellington into the semi-finals.
