The 'Scream & Shout' rapper says he was "perplexed" that the British public failed to give Leah the win.
Will.i.am has revealed he is feeling "so sad" after Leah McFall failed to win this year's series of The Voice UK last night (22nd June), despite being the odds-on favourite to take home the victory.
The '#ThatPower' rapper took to Twitter soon after the show's live final this past Saturday to express disappointment after Danny O'Donoghue's act Andrea Begley won the public vote to be crowded winner of the 2013 series.
Leah had been a firm favourite throughout the competition this year thanks to her powerful and emotional covers of classic songs like 'Loving You' and 'I Will Survive', and her mentor will.i.am named her the "best artist" in the show's history.
"You should feel the audience's vibration in the room tonight after the public's vote… it's #unexplainable… so sad… #perplexed," will.i.am tweeted shortly after the final result was announced. "Andrea is amazing… #dontGETmeWRONG… but we know who has the incredible #voice."
"There is something new in the universe," will.i.am also told The Sun about Leah, before the final verdict had been announced. "Out of every single person that I've seen from last year to this year, Leah is the best artist.
"She's quirky, she's unique," he explained. "There have been great singers but she has the greater shot to have a career."

Will.i.am's fellow The Voice UK coaches Jessie J and Sir Tom Jones have both since taken to Twitter to offer their congratulations to 27 year-old Andrea on her victory, despite their own acts failing to become winners.
"Huge congratulations to Andrea for winning tonight!" 'Wild' singer Jessie tweeted, after debuting a new baby pink hairstyle earlier in the evening. "So proud of you and what you have achieved and your voice is amazing! Well done honey! X.
"So VOICE UK 2 done and dusted, all superb talent and performances, proud to see and hear and know u all - ALL THE BEST," Tom Jones also posted. "Congratulations to Andrea! And to Danny for brining her along so beautifully, great team work, that's what it's about."
Andrea Begley managed to beat fellow finalists Leah McFall, Matt Henry and Mike Card to be crowned winner of The Voice UK 2013.
