Will.i.am: "I Put On A British Accent For Girls"

The Black Eyed Peas star and The Voice UK mentor says he loves visiting Britain.

Will.i.am has revealed that he sometimes puts on a British accent to try and woo girls.

The Black Eyed Peas star has been a regular visitor to the UK and says he often gets mistaken as a British citizen because of the way he dresses.

"I have been coming here since 1998. I am a regular here up to the point of going home back to America," he told The Sun.

"But when I go home they ask, 'I thought you were from London by the way you dress and talk. I thought you were from some place in Europe or somewhere exotic or something'."

Will added that he likes to put on a British accent but that it's not usually successful.

"Sometime I do say that I’m from London to the girls and I put on the accent," he said. "But my face gives it away by moving when I talk, so it does not work with the girls."

Will.i.am is currently appearing as a judge on The Voice UK and took part in the Olympic Torch Relay in Taunton earlier this week.
