The 'Live It Up' star has joked that Nicole is "too nice" to contestants on the ITV1 talent show.

Tulisa Contostavlos says she has been urging fellow The X Factor UK judge Nicole Scherzinger to "toughen up" after joking that she has been "too nice" during this year's live auditions for the ITV1 reality show.

The 'Young' singer also claims there won't be any backstage dramas between her and new judge Nicole this year as they have been getting on great since the 'Wet' singer was announced as the show's newest panelist at the start of June.

"Nicole's wicked. Everyone keeps asking me, 'Can you expect any brawls this year, or dramas?', but Nicole is just such a sweetie," Tulisa told The Sun this week. "She's too nice. It will never happen. I even tell her, 'Come on Nicole, be a meanie, toughen up'.

"But that's just who she is," the N-Dubz star explained. "She's a lovely, girl next door, down to earth person who is extremely talented.

She added: "And she knows her stuff. I doubt you'll see any brawls from us this year."

Nicole previously served as a judge on the first season of The X Factor USA last year, before joining the UK version of the show as Kelly Rowland's official replacement for this year's series.

Tulisa gave her brand new single 'Live It Up' its first play on Capital this week, and revealed she chose a more urban song for her next release to help define herself as an artist.
