The 'Can't Pretend' singer says Lily gave him "complete control" on his debut album.

Tom Odell says he feels "lucky" to have met fellow pop star and his record label boss Lily Allen.

The 'Another Love' singer-songwriter released his debut album 'Long  Way Down' this week, after being signed up to Lily's In the Name Of record label.

"I'm lucky to have met her," Tom admitted to Daily Star this week. "She's shown so much care for me.

"It's rare you get that from a label," he explained. "They are my friends and have been so supportive of me and have never pressured me to work with people or go a certain way.

"They have let me have complete control," Tom added.

The UK singer attracted mainstream attention last year when he was named the 2013 recipient of the Brits Critics' Choice Awards.

Lily Allen is also working on her own new album and teased a potential March 2014 release for the record.
