The 'Lightning' stars have also explained the meaning behind their newly released single.
The Wanted say they enjoyed getting to do "the retro thing" on their new single 'I Found You' and wanted to try something new for their new album.
The 'Chasing The Sun' five-piece launched new single 'I Found You' last Sunday (4th November) which sees the UK band adopting a slightly different musical style from past releases, and band member Jay McGuiness says their new sound was a conscious decision.
"We've never really trod on the retro thing before, ever," Jay reveals in the December issue of Glamour magazine. "We've done little bits of rock in our albums, and littke bits of folk I guess, and a tiny bit of dub step. Who hasn't?
"But we've never done the retro thing, so we've though we'd try it," he explained. "Get the old falsetto out and it sounds quite good."

The 'Lightning' singer also explained more about the meaning behind 'I Found You', which is on course to chart highly on the Vodafone Big Top 40 this coming weekend.
"It's to any woman or man. When you're in a really low, terrible place and you just feel that you can't help yourself out of it, you find someone who saves you a little bit," he added. "That's what it's about really."
This week The Wanted have revealed they are eyeing a March 2013 release for their third studio album, following the release of 'Battleground' at the end of 2011, and have hinted at a potential collaboration with US star Chris Brown on the record.
