The Wanted's Max: "I'm Scared Of Sponge"

The 'Warzone' singer reveals that he can get intimidated by the absorbent material.

The Wanted star Max George has admitted that he is afraid of sponge.

The confession came when Capital FM asked the star if he had any random facts about himself that he would like to divulge.

"I'm scared of sponge," he revealed, which prompted band mate Jay McGuiness to joke: "This microphone is intimidating right now."

The singer is engaged to Coronation Street actress Michelle Keegan and admitted that panic set in recently when a fan posted a message on Twitter that the actress was pregnant.

Meanwhile, the 'Lightning' singer also revealed recently that he was once punched in the face by a fan's boyfriend at a cash machine.

The Wanted will head out on a UK Arena tour in 2012 before crossing the pond to play a series of dates in America.
