The 'Walks Like Rihanna' singer says he is waiting for the all-clear from doctor's about this weekend's show.
The Wanted's Nathan Sykes says a Doctor's appointment this week will determine whether or not he'll be able to appear alongside his bandmates at the Capital FM Summertime Ball 2013.
The event returns to Wembley Stadium this Sunday (9th June) but it is still unsure whether Nathan' will be able to join The Wanted for their opening set following his throat surgery earlier this year.
The 'Walks Like Rihanna' singer underwent an operation several months ago to repair damage to his vocal cords and Nathan has now spoken exclusively to Capital FM about what it would mean for him to perform this weekend.
"You know what I'd love to be there," Nathan admitted on Capital Breakfast this morning (5th June). "We've been lucky enough to perform at every Summertime Ball so far so I'd be gutted to miss it, but i've got to take each day as it comes.
"I've had good days and bad days, days when I've tried singing and it's been back to what it was and then had days when its been like I'm going backwards again," the 'Glad You Came' star explained. "But I'm having speech therapy and vocal coaching to try and get the strength back.

When pressed on whether he will show up at Wembley Stadium this weekend for the Summertime Ball, Nathan teased that he has his "fingers crossed" for the all-clear.
"Bottom line is I've got another Doctor's appointment this week so fingers crossed he gives us the all clear and, I'd like to be there," he explained. "I don't want to do any further long-term damage to my voice, I don't think I could go through the last few months again.
"Being in a band and being told you may never sing again I one of the most terrifying things you can hear, and obviously you don't want to hear that again," Nathan added.
The Capital FM Summertime Ball 2013 takes place this Sunday 9th June at Wembley Stadium.
